Flo-Ro Information (pertains to both classes)

Thank you to everyone who was able to come out last night to Open House.  We understand not everyone was able to make it. We hope everyone left more informed and had all of your questions answered. This may seem like this year is going to be hard for you and your child, but we will all embrace the struggle together.  Once again, remember, if you have any questions or concerns, be sure to get in contact with one of us.

Class Dojo
Ms. Flores and I will be using Class Dojo to monitor behavior. Though, I’ve used it before, there are some components that are new to me. We felt like it would be a great way to monitor behavior and you would have instant feedback. We tried to make it user and reader friendly without overpopulating it with too many buttons. We have sent home the parent letters so that both you and your child can log on. They can even go in and customize their monster. If your letter did not make it home, please send a note in your child’s agenda or in an email to one of us and we will resend it. Also, let us know your feelings (positive and negative) about this after we have used it a few weeks.

Reading Challenge Medal
Did your child participate in the Richland County Library Summer Reading program this summer? If they did and received their medals, they will have an opportunity to go to the Game Truck Tuesday, September 15. All they need to do is bring their reading medal to Mrs. Ryan by Friday, September 4th. She will keep them and return them back on the day they go to the truck. If they are not a gamer, they can wait until the first book fair and receive a free book instead. They just need to let Mrs. Ryan know when they give her their medal.

Dates to Remember
September 1st: Volunteer Orientation 6:00 pm or September 2nd at 8:15 am

September 7th: Labor Day Holiday
Friday, September 11 Non-Uniform Dress Day
September 15th: Game Truck for Summer Readers (who have turned in their reading medals)
September 18th: Interims Issued Family Night at Book Fair Non-Uniform Dress Day
