Timed Multiplication Charts

At this point, everyone should have their timed multiplication chart in their binder. Everyday until they have mastered all (1-12), they will take a 45 second timed test. If they pass, which means answering all problems and getting them all correct, they will earn a sticker on their chart for that number. At this point, the 2's, 3's, 5's, 10's, and 11's should be pretty easy. If your child has not mastered the 2's and 3's, please make flashcards or let them go to a multiplication site to practice, such as multiplication.com. Mrs. Flores, also, sent them a site they can go to and time themselves. I am asking that you please make use of these sites. By mid-November, everyone should have mastered all of their facts. Remember, mastery of these facts helps with multiple units we will be working on in math, such as multiplication by 2 and 3 digits, division, and fractions. Success in these units will be struggle if they do not know their basic facts.
